People affected by autism lie on a spectrum, meaning their symptoms and characteristics may vary significantly. Consequently, you cannot predict the behaviour, limitations or capabilities of one autistic person based on these indicators in another autistic individual. Each person with the condition is unique and will present their own qualities and challenges. The media only tends to portray the extreme ends of the spectrum.
